Scooby Dooby Doo, run the other way

November 6th, 2007

Since folks have asked, here’s the expanded story about the customer I met while working for the Warner Bros. Studio Stores.

We were holding an in-store event with a guy dressed up in a Scooby-doo outfit. A lot of people came to it. However, one woman was especially crazy. And I don’t mean the I-love-Scooby-doo- and- want-to-buy-everything-ever-made-with-Scooby-on-it kind of crazy.

I’m talking the I-want-to-marry-Scooby-doo kind of crazy.

She kept on harassing the guy in the costume. We had to run interference for him in order to prevent her from causing a scene. This entailed each of us taking turns letting this woman talk to us, and thus distracting her from her goal of talking to the love of her life… Scooby-doo.

I ran into this same person at an afternoon showing of Hellboy… she claimed she was going to be married to the big red fictional demon main character. It’s terrifying to be that close to someone so clearly disconnected from reality.

Yep, there are a lot of people out there on some good prescription drugs like Prozac and Paxil, Zanex, etc. These drugs make people LOOPY as can be. They have no idea how crazy they are acting. It’s scary to think how many people in our society are walking around like drugged zombies. America has become a nation of total Prescription drug addicts.
