If you don’t mind a bit of constructive criticism, your drawings are nice, but so far, all you have is people just talking. You really haven’t added anything to the original story. Take it from a cartoonist: The medium is all about interesting visuals.

… While I’ve seen Oren’s comic and find his advice about “interesting visuals” ironic in a pot/kettle sort of way, I have to agree with the point he’s making. I’m a regular reader of Not Always Right, and I’m really not getting the purpose of the comic version. You’ve just quoted a reader submission and drawn a talking head on it. It’s just a rehash of something I’ve already read, so what’s the point?

    Hi Oren and Steveo,

Thank you for checking us out! As I have commented to ASA in a more recent post, I appreciate your comments and will make use of them, and the other feedback in the coming weeks and months. The concept originally was to draw upon my experiences in retail and occasionally use stories sent in by readers. Since then the inspiration has changed out of my personal experience to the experiences of others. I expect that the comics will be changing to draw upon more of the details in the cool stories posted on Not Always Right. This is a new way that we’re doing this comic and so I would ask your patience as we get used to the new format and hope that you’ll come back to see how it evolves.

    Best wishes,
    Michael
