I once made a sign that the elevator was out-of-order when I was working at Pearl Paint in SF. The sign was literally the size of the entire door. People would stand there AND ask me what was holding up the elevator. Eventually I started saying that I didn’t know and advised them to wait a little longer. R-R-R-Revenge!
