Like I said, I don't comment here much, this post just hit a nerve so I had to say something. That being said, you make several good points, and therefore, I believe we should leave this discussion as it stands now, because there seems to be a lot we agree on, and not enough that we disagree on to really make enough meat to form a debate with.
